Maryland: State Trooper’s Cruiser Struck During Traffic Stop
A Maryland state trooper conducting a traffic stop in Montgomery County was struck in his patrol car by a passing driver early Saturday, becoming the third trooper hit in a month in the Washington area, Maryland State Police said. Minnesota: SUV Smashes into St. Paul Fire Station; No One Injured
An SUV crashed into a St. Paul fire station late Friday evening, though no one was injured. The crash occurred about 9:30 p.m. at Fire Station 1, located at 1000 W. Seventh St. in the city's West End. The station, at West Seventh Street and Randolph Avenue, is connected to the fire department's headquarters.

California: Officer Struck by Vehicle During Arrest
A San Diego police officer was struck by a vehicle when he was arresting a woman for suspicion of a narcotics violation, authorities said. The officer was called to the north alley of 1600 National Avenue on a narcotics violation at 9:51 p.m. Saturday, said San Diego police Officer Robert Heims. `While trying to place a female under arrest she ran from officers,” Heims said. “While taking her into custody a vehicle turned into the alley at a high rate of speed and collided into the officer’s right leg,” he said. The vehicle backed up and fled the scene.

Missouri: Saline County Sheriff's Deputy Involved in Horrible Crash
According to Saline County Sheriff Wally George, Deputy Daniel A. Kirchhoff was involved in an accident around 6 a.m. Thursday morning, Oct. 2, on westbound Interstate 70, after mile marker 76. Kirchhoff was working traffic while Cadwell's Towing wrecker was towing a car that had crashed into the median cables, George said. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by Kirchhoff, 32, of Marshall, and a 2012 Ford F-550 were stationary with emergency equipment activated for a previous crash. The Victoria moved from the right shoulder and into the path of a 2008 Volvo, driven by Andrew J. Reinert, 37, of Belton, causing the Volvo to strike the Victoria

Minnesota Trooper Nearly Hit at Scene of Crash
A Minnesota trooper was nearly hit by a car while directing traffic at a crash on Highway 169 Monday morning. The trooper was responding to a rollover crash on northbound Highway 169 at County Road 21 in Shakopee around 8:30 a.m. The video, caught on MnDOT's Traffic Management Cameras, shows the trooper wearing a bright yellow jacket, on the side of the highway directing oncoming traffic as other cars merge onto highway to avoid an accident scene.

Missouri: SUV Collides into MODOT Truck on I-49
Police are investigating after an SUV collided into a Missouri Department of Transportation truck Monday on Interstate 49. The wreck happened in the northbound lanes of the interstate just south of Main Street about 10:45 a.m. Monday October 6.

Virginia: New Kent Deputy Struck Directing Traffic
A New Kent Deputy was struck by a pickup truck while directing traffic in New Kent County earlier this afternoon. Virginia State Police tell us the Deputy was directing traffic around 11:00 a.m. for the Martin’s Tour of Richmond race in the eastbound lane of New Kent Highway when a 2001 Dodge pickup struck him from behind.

A Manchester police officer had to jump over the hood of his cruiser to avoid being struck by a stolen pickup truck early Monday morning, police said.
