  • 'Move Over' Arizona Reminds Drivers to Use Caution Around Cars on Shoulder

    In the State of Arizona, if you're approaching that vehicle you are required to move over or slow down if you can't move over. The move over law began in Arizona back in 2005. At that point, drivers only had to move over for law enforcement and emergency vehicles.     The Ocala Police Department Motor Unit will be enforcing the "move-over law" from Monday through March 8. The law states if a motorist approaches a stopped emergency vehicle on the side of the road, he or she must move away from the closest lane to the emergency vehicle.
