Understanding New York’s Move Over Law

Illinois: Scott's Law Violations Endangering Officers
State police urge drivers to slow down and move over in hopes of protecting officers as they work along highways. Last November, a state trooper was killed by a tractor trailer while conducting a traffic stop along Interstate 55. In March, a Chicago area trooper died after a semi ran into his squad car, and on Tuesday two local officers were hit by a semi in Pulaski county.
