Pennsylvania: One Wounded When Officer Shoots at Car Trying to Hit Him
A south-central Pennsylvania police officer opened fire on a car as it raced toward him early Friday, causing non-life threatening injuries to a woman in the front passenger seat, state police said. The York City police officer shot and wounded Erika Eberhardinger, 21, of Dover, as he narrowly avoiding being struck by the car around 2 a.m., state police said. Her condition was not disclosed.

New Zealand: Police Officer Hit by Car at Checkpoint
A police officer has been hit by a car during a checkpoint operation in Hawke's Bay. The officer was breath testing drivers on Farndon Road at 12.30am today when a car crossed the centre line and hit the policeman. Police say the driver then sped off.

Australia: Alleged Drunk Driver Hits Police Officer
A police officer issuing a speeding ticket in Queensland has been struck by a car allegedly driven by a drunk driver. The Sunshine Coast officer was issuing an infringement notice on the Maroochydore Road at Kuluin about 7.10pm on Tuesday when another car allegedly veered across the lane and clipped him with the side mirror. Kentucky: Driver Plows Through Traffic Checkpoint, Nearly Misses Trooper
A traffic checkpoint proves dangerous for a Kentucky State Trooper, after he's almost hit by a speeding motorist. KSP was doing a checkpoint on the US 60 bypass at highway 431 early Sunday morning. Troopers say Ryan Clark was driving at a high rate of speed, passed through the checkpoint and almost hit a trooper.

New York: 'Inattentive Driver' Injures Fire Policeman at Fishkill Car Crash Scene
A Rombout fire police officer was injured at the scene of a two-car crash in Fishkill Sunday night, while he was responding to the accident, said Kevin Barry, public information officer for Rombout Fire Company. The Rombout fire police officer was arriving on the scene when he was rear-ended by another driver, an "inattentive motorist," who wasn't "paying attention," a common cause of firefighter and police injury at the scenes of accidents, Barry said.

Oklahoma: Car Hits Fire Truck On Scene Of Multi-Vehicle Crash
Police said a car crashed into a fire truck that was on the scene of a multi-vehicle collision in southwest Oklahoma City, Monday morning. According to Oklahoma City police, emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle collision at Interstate 44 and S.W. 149th Street. However, as crews worked to clear the scene of that collision, another car struck a fire truck.

Oklahoma: Limestone Apparatus Struck on Highway-Firefighter Critically Injured
A Firefighter with the Limestone Fire Department in Owasso, Oklahoma was struck yesterday and is now reported to be in critical condition.The 43-year old Firefighter had been operating at a collision on a 5-lane highway (Highway 20), The conditions were a straight roadway, clear weather and little reason for them to not be seen, The Firefighter was getting back into the squad - which was being used for traffic control, when the squad was struck by a dually pickup at high speed. The Firefighter is in critical condition in St Johns Hospital in Tulsa. The hit was so hard that the fire vehicle has a bent frame, and may be totaled. The driver of the civilian vehicle had no license and expired tags. The Atlanta Police Department has confirmed that an officer was taken to a hospital after he was hit while conducting a traffic stop. The incident happened Friday night in the area of Joseph E. Lowery near Atlanta Student Movement boulevards in southwest Atlanta.

A volunteer firefighter, trying to help a driver who had just been in a crash, is recovering after he was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 95 early Sunday. Daniel Callaway was on his way to work at the Wilmington Manor Fire Company in New Castle, Delaware when he came upon a one car crash around 4:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near Route 420 in Tinicum Township, Pennsylvania, his family and police tell NBC10. California: San Leandro Officer Struck By Stolen Car After Opening Fire; Suspect At Large
An officer broke his foot after opening fire on suspects in a stolen car in San Leandro Thursday morning. Police spokesman Lt. Robert McManus confirmed an incident occurred in the 700 block of Broadmoor Boulevard at 7:26 a.m. The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
