    While on the scene of an accident on the Broken Arrow Expressway, a Tulsa fire truck was hit from behind by another vehicle. Officials say crews were working on a two-car collision in the eastbound lanes of the highway near Sheridan Road when a pickup drove through the hazard cones and crashed into the back of a Tulsa fire truck.

  • Maryland: Perryville Fire Police Officer Remains in Critical Condition

    David Barr, Sr., the Perryville Fire Company fire police officer struck by a car on Route 40 Friday evening while directing traffic at an accident scene, remained in critical but stable condition Tuesday night at Christiana Hospital, according to family members. Barr was wearing his reflective vest when he was struck at the scene of a three-car accident on Route 40, but a preliminary police investigation determined sun glare may have been a factor in the collision.

  • Oklahoma: Trooper Struck From Behind by Suspected Drunk Driver

    An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper sustained minor injuries early Sunday morning after being rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver according to spokesperson Betsy Randolph with the OHP. Trooper Mystal Perkins, 23, was on duty and in her patrol car at approximately 2:30 a.m. Sunday when it was struck from behind while she sat at a red signal light at SE 29th and Walker.

  • West Virginia: Trooper Injured by Defendant's Vehicle Says Plea Brings Closure

    Monday brought a sense of closure to State Police Sgt. Aaron Nichols, as the woman accused of severely injuring him while fleeing a mall with stolen clothes entered a guilty plea in Kanawha Circuit Court.

  • Georgia: Officer Staking Out Truck Stop is Struck by Van

    A police officer is recovering after he was struck by a minivan while staking out a truck stop that's been the scene of several thefts from semitrailers. DeKalb County police had set up the stakeout near International Park Drive and Bouldercrest Road early Monday morning after receiving several complaints from truckers about the thefts.   • Maryland: Trooper Vehicle Struck

    The Outer Loop of the Beltway is CLOSED at MD 702 because of an accident in which a Maryland State Police cruiser was struck. All traffic is diverted off the Outer Loop onto MD 702 southbound.   • Maryland: Baltimore Police Officer Injured in I-83 Crash

    "Last night an officer was investigating a car accident on Interstate 83. While he was investigating the accident he was struck, his vehicle was struck in the rear by another car," said Baltimore Police Sergeant Sarah Connolly.
