  • Massachusetts: State Police Cruiser Involved in I-495 Crash

    Massachusetts officials say there were no life-threatening injuries when a vehicle crashed into a state police cruiser and another car in a breakdown lane of Interstate 495 in Raynham. State police say the accident happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday near the Route 24 interchange.

  • Ohio: State Trooper Hurt in Crash on U.S. 23 in Sylvania

    An Ohio Highway Patrol trooper from the Toledo post was injured when a pickup crashed into a stopped patrol car about midnight in Sylvania. Jacquelyn Layson, 41, was taken to Toledo Hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, according to the patrol.   • Kentucky: Two People Critically Injured After Rear-Ending Fire Truck on I-64 in Shelby County

    "Weather played a role in the first accident," Simpsonville's Fire Chief Ronnie Sowder said. The second happened just before 7:30 a.m. as emergency crews responded to the scene of the first crash when a car rear-ended a fire truck from the Eastwood Fire Department. The Simpsonville fire chief said the truck was responding to a non-injury accident when it was rear-ended by a Dodge with two people inside.
