Seattle Firefighter Hit by Car
A Seattle firefighter was struck by a car Tuesday night as he tried to get traffic to slow down for a firetruck. The accident occurred about 6:40 p.m. at East Yesler Way and 28th Avenue. The firefighter had stepped onto Yesler to direct traffic for the fire engine, which was on another call.
