Massachusetts: Police cruiser struck by another car in Uxbridge
An Uxbridge Police cruiser was struck from behind by another car Saturday afternoon on Route 146 after police said the officer pulled over to help a State Police trooper on a motor vehicle stop. The officer headed to Rte. 146 around 11:35 a.m. to help the trooper, Uxbridge Police said. The officer pulled over and was sitting inside his cruiser when police said another vehicle crashed into the back of the cruiser. Police said the officer and the driver of the other car were taken to a local hospital as a precaution. The officer was later released. Both cruisers had their emergency lights on and flashing at the time of the accident, police said. Uxbridge Police reminded people to adhere to the "Move Over" law while driving. The accident remains under investigation by the State Police.

A West Richland ambulance driver was responding to a rear-ended collision on Interstate 90 when she was hit from behind by a Lincoln going too fast.

Massachusetts: Officer injured after cruiser struck; suspect's 4th drunk driving charge
A West Bridgewater officer was injured Monday after his cruiser was struck by an alleged drunk driver. Sergeant Jonathon Craven's cruiser was struck around 9:15 p.m. on Route 106. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton with shoulder, neck and back injuries but is expected to be okay. William Shea, a 56-year-old Brockton man, was arrested at the scene. According to police, Shea was given multiple field sobriety tests before his arrest. It is the fourth time Shea has been charged with operating under the influence. Shea's car was seized by officers.

Maryland: Driver plows through fatal crash scene, strikes investigator
A pickup truck driver crashed through the cordoned-off aftermath scene of a fatal collision near North East on Christmas Eve, striking a police vehicle and a forensic investigator, who was taken to an area hospital, according to Maryland State Police.The initial incident occurred about 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, when a westbound Chevrolet Colorado driven by Jason Phelps, 39, of North East, crashed into a Ford Focus driven by Estel Privett, 74, of Elkton, in the 1700 block of W. Pulaski Highway (Route 40), east of North East, police said.

New Mexico: Woman arrested for hitting Albuquerque firefighters with stolen truck
It wasn’t the fire alarm, but rather thieves that brought Fire Station 9 to life early New Year’s Eve morning. Albuquerque police said a trio had been cruising around in two stolen Ford F350 trucks, and they had their eyes on another one that belonged to a firefighter who works at the station near Menaul and Eubank NE.
