  • Indiana: Pierceton Fire Chief Hit While Assisting With Traffic Control

    At 8:25 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department DeputyChris Anderson was tending to a few slide-offs in the area of US 30 and CR 450E, Warsaw, when a vehicle hit an emergency responder assisting with traffic control.

  • Massachusetts: Police Officer Struck in Hull, Massachusetts

    A police officer is recovering after being hit by a car Thursday in Hull, Massachusetts. According to police, the officer was responding to a crash on Nantasket Avenue around 4:45 p.m. She stepped out of her cruiser and was hit by a passing car. The driver stayed on scene and the officer was taken to a local hospital. No charges have yet been filed against the driver.

  • Utah: Officer injured when struck by driverless car after pursuit

    Authorities in Salt Lake City say a police pursuit of a vehicle ended with an officer being struck by the car and the man who had been driving it being taken into custody.

  • Missouri: Firefighter struck by vehicle on I-55 in serious condition

    A firefighter was struck by a vehicle in south St. Louis Friday night.According to authorities, the firefighter was responding to a wreck and was getting out of a fire truck when he was hit by an SUV. The firefighters is in serious condition and is expected to survive.

  • Texas: Suspect Steals WFPD Police Car, Runs Over Officer's Arm, Drives on Base

    Suspect is in custody. He is described as being a white male in his 40's. The police officer who was struck by the stolen vehicle is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

  • California: Officers Injured When Patrol Car is Struck

    On December 18th, 2016 at approximately 2:38 a.m., two California Highway Patrol Officers stopped on the right shoulder of Interstate 10 near Interstate 215 to check on the well-being of a stranded motorist. The officer who was driving activated the patrol vehicles emergency lights as a safety precaution. As the officers were exiting the patrol car, a 2006 International box truck driven by Valeriano Sequina Jr. (20, Pomona),veered to the right and struck the patrol cars left side. One of the officers was outside of the patrol vehicle when it was struck and was struck by debris. The officer driving was still in the patrol vehicle. Sequina stopped on the right shoulder after the collision. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and both officers were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. This collision is still under investigation. Alcohol/drugs are not suspected to be factors in the collision.

  • Missouri: City officer slips on ice while avoiding car, hits head on pavement

    A St. Louis police officer was injured when he hit his head on pavement after slipping. The incident happened on Martin Luther King Drive around 5:30 Friday evening. Police said an officer was attempting to avoid getting struck by a vehicle that was sliding on ice. The officer slipped and struck his head on the pavement. The officer was transported to a St. Louis area hospital. He was conscious and breathing.

  • Georgia: Road Worker Struck and Killed While Flagging Traffic

    Cobb County police are investigating a fatal traffic accident after a member of a tree-trimming crew was struck by a vehicle in Marietta.

  • Texas: Car strikes police, fire vehicles last week

    Authorities received a call about a one-vehicle wreck on the State Highway 35 Causeway bridge at 12:14 Friday morning, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher Delores Drake said.

  • Wisconsin: Two charged after reported overdose, officer struck by car

    An off-duty officer was reportedly shopping at the store at the time and found Smith and Gomez leaving the store. The officer followed the two to a car and stood behind the car to prevent it from leaving.
