    A Westminster man has been charged in a reported hit-and-run incident after he allegedly drove through a crash scene on Md. 140 on Friday, striking an ambulance, then drove away.

  • Illinois: Rockford police charge parolee after taxi carjacking, shots fired and two crashes

    Two police officers opened fire early this morning on a suspect who allegedly struck one of them with a stolen taxi and backed it into a Rockford police squad car, according to information from the Rockford Police Department.

  • Florida: Man strikes officer with car

    A Tallahassee, Fla. man faces felony obstruction charges after he struck a female Forsyth police officer with his car and wrecked trying to avoid arrest. Officer Kimberly Barnett had pulled over a 2016 Chevy Impala at mile marker 186 on I-75 south around 8:16 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 for speeding. Barnett told the driver she had pulled him over for going 88 in a 70 mph zone, and she took his license back to her patrol car. The driver, Carl Lester Carr, 29, of Tallahassee, said he didn’t know he was speeding.

  • Illinois: Crossing Guard Hit By Car Near ETHS

    A crossing guard was hit by a car Wednesday morning while directing traffic near Evanston Township High School. The victim, a 25-year-old woman from Chicago, was hit in the 2100 block of Church Street near Grey avenue at 8:12 a.m., according to an Evanston Police Department report. She was struck by a vehicle making a left turn out of an ETHS parking lot to go west on Church. The victim was cut on her forehead, knee and elbow and taken to Evanston Hospital for treatment. The driver - a 60-year-old woman from Skokie - was cited for disregarding a crossing guard.
