Indiana: Funeral escort Officer Struck
According to IMPD, a private security officer helping with a funeral procession was hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon. Officials say the escorting officer suffered a broken shoulder in the accident, in which he was hit by a car while on his motorcycle. The accident happened just before noon at the intersection of Spring Mill Road and Kessler Boulevard. Police have not said what may have caused the accident.

Mississippi: Hinds County Deputy Vehicle Hit by Car
A Hinds County deputy was involved in a traffic accident on Highway 80 Friday night. According to Hinds County Sheriff's spokesman Othor Cain, around 5:30 pm, a deputy was traveling south on School Circle near Highway 80 West attempting to make a traffic stop. In the process of making the stop, the Dodge charger he was driving was hit by a white Honda accord.

Texas: Denison Fire Engine Damaged in Accident
The Denison Fire Department is down a fire engine after it was hit while responding to an accident. Assistant Fire Chief Bill Ray says crews were working a crash scene when someone rear-ended their engine The car that hit it was heavily damaged , and it'll take several weeks to repair the fire truck.

A Columbus Police Officer was hurt after being struck by a vehicle. It happened Friday around 6:30 p.m. Police responded to the Walmart on Airport Thruway in reference to a shoplifting incident. Officers say the police was struck by a 1998 Mercury Sable, and suffered redness and swelling.

Florida: FHP Vehicle Struck by Man Trying to By-Pass Roadblock
A 19-year-old Jacksonville woman was arrested early Saturday on allegations that she was drunk when she clipped a Florida Highway Patrol vehicle with her Ford Mustang. The trooper had been stationed at a roadblock on Riverside Avenue due to an earlier crash investigation when his car was hit by the woman.

Ohio: Dayton Fire Truck Struck by Driverless Car
A Dayton fire pumper truck has a new dent, thanks to an over-excited motorist who jumped out of his car while it was still in motion. A firefighter tells us the pumper truck was parked at the scene of a minor traffic accident in the 100 block of Boltin Street about 10:30 p.m. The driver, said to have been a relative of someone involved in the accident, drove up in a car and seemed agitated or excited as he got out of it. Problem is, he left in gear and it continued on — sans driver — until it hit the city vehicle.
