  • Virginia Firefighter Struck

    A Lebanon (VA) Firefighter was struck by vehicle at MVA scene last evening. Medflight was requested due to head injury and loss of consciousness. Lebanon is in SW Virginia and in Russell County.   • New Hampshire: Trooper Injured During Traffic Stop in New Hampton

    The assistant commander of Troop E of the New Hampshire State Police was injured Wednesday morning when his cruiser was struck by a passing motorist during a routine vehicle stop. Staff Sgt. David McCormack was parked in the breakdown lane of I-93 north of Exit 23 with the blue lights of his cruiser flashing about 10:14 a.m. when it was hit by a white Kia driven by John E. Sparling, 61, of Thornton.

  • Utah: UHP Trooper Unhurt as Car Slams Into Cruiser on Icy I-80

    A Utah Highway Patrol trooper escaped injury when his parked cruiser was struck by an out-of-control vehicle on Interstate 80 just east of Salt Lake City Wednesday morning. UHP Sgt. Todd Royce said the trooper was outside his cruiser at the scene of an earlier accident on an icy patch of freeway in Parleys Canyon.
