    An Isleta police officer was running radar around 2 a.m. Friday when he spotted a truck going very fast on State Road 47. When the officer attempted to pull the truck over, the driver fled and used the truck to assault the officer, according to police.

  • Virginia: Officer Injured When Struck by Car

    A Kilmarnock police officer was injured on Saturday, October 18, when he was struck by a passing vehicle as he exited his police car.

  • California: Los Angeles Police Officer Struck

    Distracted or drunk driving may be to blame for a crash that sent a Los Angeles police officer to the hospital on Tuesday. Investigators say the officer was behind his cruiser, talking to a civilian near Van Noord Avenue and Sarah Street just after midnight when a car slammed straight into him. Police say the driver could have been texting or driving under the influence.

  • New Jersey: Vehicle Cam Catched Car Sideswiping State Trooper Vehicle

    A close call for a New Jersey State Trooper was caught on camera. A speeding car clipped his vehicle and nearly struck him while he was conducting a traffic stop on I-95.

  • Michigan: State Police Cruiser Struck

    A Michigan State Police patrol vehicle was struck while the trooper was conducting a traffic stop at 8:35 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, on M-46 near Shaw in Tuscola County.

  • United Kingdom: A Police Officer Hit by Car in Hammersmith

    A police officer has been hit by a car in west London, the Metropolitan Police said. The female plain-clothed officer was struck by the vehicle in Shepherds Bush Road, Hammersmith, at about 15:30 BST.

  • Connecticut: StateTrooper, Driver Hurt in Manchester Collision

    A state trooper and a driver were hurt following a highway collision in Manchester overnight. State police said it happened on I-84 eastbound near exit 63, just after 1:30 a.m.

  • Minnesota: SUV Smashes into St. Paul Fire Station; No One Injured

    An SUV crashed into a St. Paul fire station late Friday evening, though no one was injured. The crash occurred about 9:30 p.m. at Fire Station 1, located at 1000 W. Seventh St. in the city's West End. The station, at West Seventh Street and Randolph Avenue, is connected to the fire department's headquarters.

  • California: Officer Struck by Vehicle During Arrest

    A San Diego police officer was struck by a vehicle when he was arresting a woman for suspicion of a narcotics violation, authorities said. The officer was called to the north alley of 1600 National Avenue on a narcotics violation at 9:51 p.m. Saturday, said San Diego police Officer Robert Heims. `While trying to place a female under arrest she ran from officers,” Heims said. “While taking her into custody a vehicle turned into the alley at a high rate of speed and collided into the officer’s right leg,” he said. The vehicle backed up and fled the scene.
