A woman is serving more than a year in prison after trying to hit a state trooper during a traffic stop. Marcella R. Cooper, a 49-year-old Shelton woman, pleaded guilty to attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle and DUI.

Pennsylvania: Abington School District Crossing Guard Struck
An Abington School District crossing guard is being treated at Abington Memorial Hospital after being struck by a vehicle April 30, according to the Abington police department. The incident occurred at 3:30 p.m. in front of Copper Beech Elementary School when 41-year-old Lamont Epps’ vehicle went onto the sidewalk and struck the guard, police said.

Mississippi Officer Struck by Car
A 38-year-old Alabama man is being sought for allegedly hitting a Prentiss police officer with a car in Jefferson Davis County. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation says Andreas Shackleford of Hillsboro, Alabama, is accused of hitting a police officer with his car at the intersection of Mississippi Highway 13 and U.S. Highway 84 around 9:45 p.m. Saturday.

Connecticut Trooper struck on I-91 in New Haven
A Connecticut state police trooper sitting in his cruiser blocking a ramp on I-91 was struck by a car early Thursday morning, state police said. The accident happened just after 1 a.m. at the ramp from I-91 south to I-95 northbound. Utah Driver Slams into Trooper's Parked Vehicle
A Wyoming trooper was injured when his parked car was hit from behind by a Utah driver Wednesday, investigators said. Trooper Richard Burridge was sitting in his parked patrol car on Wyoming Highway 387 with his emergency lights on at the time of the accident, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
