    While investigating a crash in Gilpin County, a Colorado State Trooper was hurt in a second chain-reaction-crash Saturday. The second crash occurred at 3:34 p.m. on the side of Highway 6 near mile marker 269. Trooper Nate Reid reports the trooper had just finished investigating a crash involving a vehicle that slid off the road.     A New Hampshire state police officer was sent to the hospital yesterday with non-life-threatening injuries after his cruiser was struck by another driver at the Exit 20 off-ramp on Interstate 93 in Tilton.

  • New York: Man Shot By Police After Allegedly Hitting Officer With Car

    Nassau County police shot and wounded a man who allegedly struck an officer with a car in Queens Sunday. Nassau County police told CBS 2 the incident happened around 4:40 p.m. at 186-10 Wexford Terr. in Queens. Officers from Nassau County had crossed into Queens for an investigation, police said.

    The man accused of causing a crash that injured a Columbus police officer on Thursday was arraigned and posted bond on Friday. According to records from the Franklin County Municipal Court, Jarrett Lumpkin was arraigned for two felony counts of aggravated vehicular assault Friday morning. He was given a $25,085 bond.
