  • Utah Highway Patrol Trooper’s Cruiser Hit on I-15 in Orem

    For the 15th time this year, a Utah Highway Patrol trooper investigating an accident scene ended up as part of a crash during Friday morning’s snow-clogged commute. UHP Cpl. Todd Johnson said that this time the trooper was not hurt when an out-of-control Honda Accord scraped his cruiser before slamming head-on into a Ford Ranger that had been involved in an earlier accident the trooper was investigating.

  • Vermont Firefighter Hurt in Leap to Safety

    A Windsor firefighter who jumped off an Interstate 91 overpass to avoid an out-of-control tractor-trailer truck was recovering from injuries yesterday, officials said. Molly Wood, a four-year member of the fire department, came away from the estimated 25- to 30-foot drop with a concussion, cuts and bruises and a likely broken ankle.

    A Berks County police officer was taken to the hospital Thursday morning after he was hit by a car driven by a fleeing suspect, said police.

  • Virginia: Interstate 81 Reopens After Early Morning Crash

    A tractor trailer driver from South Carolina was taken to Rockingham County jail on Monday morning after he narrowly avoided hitting a fire fighter on I-81.

  • Another Trooper Hit on Utah Roads

    A UHP Trooper was stopped on a violator in the southbound right-hand emergency lane. A southbound passenger vehicle lost control, hit the concrete was, rolled over and then hit the UHP truck while the trooper was seated inside. The Trooper sustained minor injury and Provo EMS responded to the scene of the crash. Utah County S.O. will be handling the investigation.

  • Massachusetts: Trooper Nearly Hit During Traffic Stop, Suspect Sought

    A suspect, who was stopped by a state trooper on Route 1southbound near the CANA Tunnel in Boston, nearly hit the trooper when he spedaway from the scene. While the trooper was outside his trooper, the suspect's vehicle, a 2004Lincoln Towncar, suddenly pulled away scraping the side of the trooper'scruiser. The trooper was not injured.

  • Michigan: Driver Strikes Officer With Car, Arrested After Pursuit

    A Pittsfield Township police officer was struck by a car while attempting to get a possibly intoxicated driver in a Burger King drive-thru to park his car.Police have arrested the driver, a 40-year-old Ypsilanti man.

  • Massachusetts Motorcycle Officer Hit by SUV in Good Condition

    A lucky police officer in Fall River remains in good condition following a crash that left his motorcycle wedged underneath an SUV. Officer Charles Freitas was riding on Route 24 when the SUV behind him was struck by a car from behind, which in turn crashed into his motorcycle.
