Maryland Highway Worker Struck, Killed On 216
A state highway worker putting up traffic cones was struck and killed last night in Howard County. The worker's name was not released until police could notify family members. A sedan hit the worker was trying to close the second lane along westbound Route 216 near Route 29. The victim was an employee with the Road Safety Traffic Control Company under contract with the state. The driver of the car stopped.

UK: Paramaedic Struck by Van
A paramedic car, which was stationary at the time of the incident, had its lights on and the driver had been asked for assistance by a member of the public. It is thought a white delivery van struck the vehicle, then failed to stop at the scene and continued in the direction of King’s Lynn. No one was injured.

Maryland: Police Officer, and Tow Turck Driver Injured in J. F.Kennedy Expressway Accident
A Baltimore police officer and a civilian were injured in an accident Friday evening on the Jones Falls Expressway, with the civilian thrown off the highway into the Jones Falls below. A Miami Police officer is in the hospital after two people in a Nissan Altima attempted to flee when he pulled them over Tuesday night. According to investigators, the officer tried to stop the car when the driver sped away, striking the officer.
