  • Nevada: NDOT Worker Struck in Fallon

    A highway maintenance worker was seriously injured Wednesday when he was struck by two vehicles that collided on U.S. 50 in Fallon, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

  • Massachusetts: Wakefield Police Officer Struck by Car

    A Wakefield police officer working an early-morning traffic detail was struck by a sport utility vehicle, police said. The officer, Joseph Conway, was struck at 7:17 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and North Avenue.

  • New York Firefighter Struck by Backing Tow Truck

    On Tuesday, August 13, 2013 a New York volunteer Firefighter was struck and run over by a backing tow truck after a four-car crash. The Firefighter, from the West Crescent Fire Department was helping to clear the scene of the crash on the Northway (I-87), at the exit 8 southbound off-ramp when the flatbed truck backed over the right side of his body.

  • New York Volunteer Firefighter Hit by Flatbed Truck

    A volunteer firefighter was run over by a tow truck after a four-car accident on Tuesday evening. State Police said that a firefighter from West Crescent Fire Department was helping to clear the scene of the accident on the Northway exit 8 southbound off-ramp when the flatbed truck backed over the right side of his body. He was rushed to Albany Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening, injuries.

  • Canada: Halifax, NS Cop Injured After Police Wagon Allegedly Struck by Impaired Driver

    Halifax Regional Police say one of its officers suffered minor injuries after his vehicle was struck by an alleged impaired driver. At 4:45 p.m. Monday, police were called to a two-vehicle crash in front of Casino Nova Scotia on Upper Water Street. As officers investigated the crash, police say a third vehicle hit one of the vehicles in the original collision then struck a marked police wagon, injuring the officer inside.

  • Construction Zone Worker Killed in Pee Dee, South Carolina

    A flagman working in a construction zone in Williamsburg County has been killed after being hit by a truck.

  • Louisiana: Blood Drive Held for Injured Paramedic

    Some Rankin County firefighters continued their mission to help one of their own Sunday afternoon. The Monterey Volunteer Fire Department hosted a blood drive, along with AMR, in honor of Jennifer Hesselbein. She's the AMR paramedic who was injured on the scene of an accident, after being hit by a drunk driver.

  • South Carolina: State Trooper's Vehicle Struck on I-85

  • Alabama: Volunteer Firefighter Hit in Colbert County

    A Spring Valley (Colbert Co, AL) volunteer firefighter was injured after being hit by a car. He was directing traffic during flooding on Gargis Lane. The firefighter was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.

  • Massachusetts: Driver Crashes Head-On Into Parked Fire Truck In Walpole

    An elderly driver was injured after she drove off the road and crashed into a fire truck Saturday morning. The truck was parked in its bay inside the fire station when the woman in her eighties slammed her car head on into it.
