North Carolina Officers Injured
Two officers with the Durham Police Department were taken to an area hospital after being involved in a fiery wreck Monday morning. The NC Highway Patrol says the two officers responded to a wreck on the I-540 bridge over I-40. Once they arrived, a tractor trailer jack-knifed and hit the police car, pushing it into the car that was originally involved in the wreck. The impact caused the police vehicle to burst into flames.
