  • Tennessee Officer Injured, Grazed By Car After Shoplifting Incident

    Shots were fired and one police officer injured after a shoplifting incident at Rivergate Mall Monday evening. Officials said that around 7 p.m. undercover detectives were working in Rivergate Mall, due to an increase in shoplifting in the area. Officers noticed two women shoplifting from the mall and followed them to the parking lot. Metro Police said the two undercover officers followed the four women to a parking spot near the mall entrance. They were allegedly ripping the tags off merchandise they had stole elsewhere and were getting ready to return it at the mall. According to police, the officers blocked in the car, got out and identified themselves as police. That's when the car took off out of the space, grazing the leg of one of the officer. The other officer couldn't get out of the way and opened fire.

  • Community Rallies Around Injured Tennessee Trooper

    Well wishes and prayers from the community continue to poor for critically-injured Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Lowell Russell. The THP sergeant from Vonore was injured when a tractor-trailer struck his patrol car while he was finishing a routine interstate traffic stop in Knoxville just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

  • Hit And Run Puts Maryland Highway Worker In Shock Trauma

    Police are looking for a gold or silver GM sedan that hit a construction worker on I-95 in the city and then kept going. Ricardo Jobes was re-applying safety stripes on the highway near Caton Avenue just after midnight early Sunday when the accident happened.

  • Maryland: Warrant Out For Man Accused Of Assault On Police

    State Police are continuing to search for a 39-year-old man from Cambridge who is accused of assaulting a police officer. An arrest warrant has been issued for Demetrice Demby of the 700-block of Douglas Street

    Grand Rapids Police are looking for the driver who may have been responsible for striking a crossing guard Monday morning. The guard was taken to Butterworth Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

    A Nashville firefighter is facing weapons and driving under the influence charges here after an officer stopped him Friday on Thompson Lane, just moments after police said he almost struck a patrol car.

  • Ohio Officer Struck by Alleged Drunk Driver on St. Patrick's Day

    An investigation is underway after Cleveland Police officer was struck by a car on St. Patrick's Day. Officials say the officer was hit on Saturday, around 4:45 p.m., while performing his duties at W. 6th & St. Clair.
