    Officer Justin Barga was struck and injured by a motorist early Sunday morning during a traffic stop along Lexington Avenue, police said. The officer who was struck by a motorist this morning landed on the hood of the car, injuring his head and one of his legs, according to an official.

  • Alabama Deputy Okay After 18-Wheeler Hits Patrol Car

    A Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy's patrol car was destroyed early Friday morning after being struck by an 18-wheeler. The deputy, unidentified, was not in the car at the time of the crash and was not injured. The 18-wheeler driver also escaped injury.

  • Florida Officer Struck by Car Suffers Minor Injuries

    A South Florida motorcycle officer has been treated by paramedics after a vehicle struck her. The incident occurred at about 4 p.m. Thursday along Dykes Road and Miramar Parkway. Investigators said the officer was at stop sign, when the car in front of her backed up and struck the Miramar Police officer.

  • Georgia County Deputy Run Over by Vehicle

    A Richmond County, Georgia deputy has been sent to Georgia Health Sciences University after being hit by a car at Surrey Center. The sheriff’s deputy suffered a broken ankle, fractured knee and a head injury not considered life-threatening after at least two suspects ran him over and fled the scene Thursday evening at Surrey Center, the sheriff’s office said.

  • Ohio Firefighter Recovers After Being Struck by Pickup Truck

    Firefighter Andrew Ferguson was working to clear a crash scene from an earlier call when the driver of the pickup truck hit him. Ferguson remains at a local hospital with what appears to be internal injuries. However, authorities said the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

  • SUV Slams Into NJ Construction Truck on NJ Highway, 1 Dead

    One person is dead after an SUV rear-ended a construction truck on the New Jersey Turnpike on Wednesday morning. The crash happened around 11:45 a.m. at mile marker 31 in Cherry Hill. State Police say the person killed was the SUV driver.

  • Pick Up Driver Killed After Running into Missouri Fire Truck

    The driver of a pickup who was killed after crashing into the back of a firetruck on Interstate 70 early today apparently struck the firetruck after swerving to avoid a police car, officials say. One firefighter suffered minor injuries.

  • Virginia Trooper is OK After Being Struck

    The state trooper whose vehicle was struck last Wednesday suffered serious but nonlife-threatening injuries and has been released from the hospital.
