    Authorities say an Atlanta police officer has been hospitalized after being struck and dragged by a car. The officer was making a traffic stop Thursday near College and Sisson Avenues when the driver tried to get away and ended up dragging the officer.

    The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a trooper was hurt when his cruiser was struck by a pickup truck in Bryan County. The patrol says 28-year-old David McCutcheon sustained head injuries in the accident on U.S. Highway 69 about 12:12 p.m. Thursday.

    A deputy constable shot out the tires of a man’s truck Wednesday afternoon as the driver tried to hit the deputy while running away, Precinct 3 Constable Derrick Rose said. Officials said the suspect was running because deputies were at his house to arrest a man on outstanding traffic tickets.

  • Indiana Officer Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver

    A police officer making a traffic stop on the Northeastside was hurt this morning, when a hit-and-run driver slammed into the rear of his squad car. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Linda Jackson said Officer Ryan Archer was sent to Methodist Hospital in serious but stable condition with head and leg injuries.

  • California Fire Truck Struck by Suspected Drunk Driver

    A suspected drunk driver plowed his car into a fire truck in Sylmar while firefighters were on the scene of another accident.

  • Georgia Officer In Induced Coma After Car Strike

    A police officer injured after a car hit him Sunday morning has been placed in a medically-induced coma. Daniel LaCoste was in critical condition after being hit while investigating a car wreck on Interstate 20. LaCoste is a veteran officer with DeKalb County police.
