  • Off-Duty Ohio Officer Leading Funeral Procession Dies After Collision with Hearse

    An off-duty NKU police officer leading a funeral procession on a motorcycle was fatally injured Friday after colliding with a hearse. The accident happened at the entrance to the Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Montgomery Road. Authorities say Officer Roy Sims, 51, had just cleared the intersection in front of the cemetery. Sims was along side the hearse, when the hearse turned right and hit him, apparently not seeing him.

    A Washington State Patrol (WSP) trooper was injured Monday night when his vehicle was struck by a driver on southbound I-5 near 196th Street SW.

    A Bridgeport police officer and his K-9 are recovering after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver on Thursday night, police said.

  • Drunken Colorado Driver Kills Tow Truck Driver

    A Lakewood man, accused of driving drunk and killing a tow truck driver in a hit-and-run crash, was charged in the man's death Wednesday. Zachariah Dobler, 28, is accused killing Alan Eugene Dilley, 41, of Wheat Ridge, at an accident scene on July 31 in Arvada. Dobler was in court Wednesday where he was formally charged with murder, vehicular homicide, motor vehicle theft, leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence.

  • Ohio Officer in Critical Condition After Hitting Hearse in Montgomery

    A Hamilton County deputy sheriff in in critical condition after hitting a hearse with a motorcycle in Montgomery Friday morning. The motorcycle officer was escorting a funeral procession around 11:30 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, located at 11000 Montgomery Road when the officer hit a hearse.

  • Paralyzed Florida Man Uses PVC Pipe to Drive ATV, Crashes with Children in Vehicle

    A 30-year-old paralyzed man has charges pending against him after he was involved in a wreck that injured two young children. Shannon R. Majors of Panama City was driving a 2010 Carbide 150cc ATV along the clearing beneath a series of power lines. Majors is paralyzed so he used a PVC pipe to operate the gas and brake pedals of the vehicle.
