  A Parking Enforcement Officer was struck by a passing car around 1pm Friday afternoon. 49-year-old Officer James Grant was issuing tickets to illegally parked cars in the first block of South 4th Street when a Reading, PA, man hit him with his car and drove off.

  An Omaha Police officer was struck and injured by a car Saturday evening in the Westroads Mall parking lot, as the officer attempted to stop a shoplifter fleeing from the shopping center. The officer, in turn, shot at the vehicle, wounding a woman in the car.

• Canadian Police Officer Almost Struck by Dirt Bike

  Police in Fort Erie are looking for the young driver of a dirt bike who nearly struck an officer when trying to flee following a traffic stop. The incident happened Wednesday.

• Illinois Trooper Dragged by Hit-and-Run Driver

  A driver of a car suspected of dragging a trooper while fleeing a traffic stop in the West Garfield Park neighborhood turned himself in, police said. The trooper suffered minor injuries in the incident, which occurred around 5:25 p.m. Wednesday.

• Pennsylvania Officer Hurt by Speeding Car

  Police in Falls Township are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver who nearly struck Officer Howard Shook as he was removing some metal and wood from the south bound lanes of Route 13 Saturday.

• Pennsylvania Officer Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver

  An Upper Darby township patrolman narrowly escaped serious injury after being struck by an alleged hit-and-run motorist while in foot pursuit of three suspects.

• Arkansas Fire Truck Hit After Tow Truck Loses Load

  Jonesboro Firefighters got a surprise after working an accident on Harrisburg road Wednesday afternoon. According to the Jonesboro Fire Department, a tow truck operator lost his hitched car which then rolled back and hit the fire truck.

• Florida Highway Patrol Car Hit While Trooper Investigates Crash

  A Florida Highway Patrol car parked by the side of Interstate 4 was hit while the trooper was investigating another crash.
