State police said that trooper had pulled off the road around 2:15 p.m. and was stopped in the center median behind a disabled box truck when a car veered off the highway and struck the cruiser from behind, pushing it into the rear of the truck.

  • Massachusetts Police Say Drunken Driver Sped Through Natick Work Zone

At 3:20 a.m., Lt. Brian Lauzon heard a loud engine coming toward him "and he looked in his rearview mirror just in time to see a vehicle speeding by him going approximately 80 mph," Grassey said.

  • Michigan Man Charged With Assaulting Officer

    A Richmond man faces a felony charge after deputies said he struck an officer during his arrest. Timothy Nicholas Cornell, 21, is accused of breaking into several vehicles to steal property. He struck a Grand Traverse sheriff's deputy as he attempted to flee the arrest scene in Garfield Township, court records show.
