Massachusetts: Tow Truck Driver Killed on Massachusetts Turnpike
State police have identified the tow truck operator struck and killed while helping a motorist in the breakdown lane of the Massachusetts Turnpike. Police say 22-year-old Kevin St Pierre of Southbridge was pronounced dead at the scene after he was struck by an eastbound box truck at about 3 p.m. Wednesday near exit 10 in Auburn. Pennsylvania: Paramedic Struck and Killed
Janice Livingston, an paramedic with the West End Ambulance Association was responding to a crash when she was struck and killed by a truck. The crash happened just after 9:30 this morning on Route 271 in Upper Yoder Township between Fender Lane and Meadow Drive. South Carolina: Firefighter Struck and Killed on U.S. 17
Kenneth Stanton, a Firefighter in Sandy Springs (Anderson County) was struck and killed in the Line of Duty this evening, Sunday February 15, 2015. Initial reports are that the crash, on US-17, occurred at around 2100 hours. Stanton, 52, was operating at the scene of a previous crash when he struck by a vehicle. The former Marine and now volunteer Firefighter was immediately treated and transported but succumbed to his injuries. Oklahoma: Authorities Say An OHP Trooper Was Killed In I-40 Wreck
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers are mourning the loss of one of their own after a fatal accident. Two troopers, Nicholas Dees and Keith Burch, were struck by a car while investigating a jackknifed semi on westbound I-40 east of Shawnee around 10 p.m. Saturday. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the troopers were in the median when a car left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck them. Trooper Dees died on scene, and Trooper Burch was rushed to OU Medical Center. Maryland: Paramedic Killed Wen Struck by FD Utility Truck
Erik Steciak, 29, a paid paramedic with the Bel Air fire company since December 2011, who was also with West Friendship Volunteer Fire Department of Howard County, was hit by a utility vehicle while trying to reach a patient who had been injured in an earlier accident on Tuesday January 6, 2015. The winter weather is being cited as a major factor in his death, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association.
