  • Kentucky City Worker Struck, Killed By Garbage Truck

    Metro police spokesman Dwight Mitchell said a three-person sanitation crew, a driver and two tippers, returned to the Public Works facility on Meriwether around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The two tippers got out of the truck as they arrived at the facility. The driver did not see one of the tippers and struck her, Mitchell said. Police said the victim was Darlene Brown, 51, of East Burnett Avenue.

    A 57-year-old PennDOT employee was struck and killed by a sport utility vehicle passing through a construction zone in East Hanover Township on Tuesday morning. Thomas R.     The road construction worker injured in a hit-and-run accident on I-94 in Indiana died Sunday. Roger Sadler, 49, of Michigan City, was pronounced dead at 5:40 p.m. Sunday at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.

  • Kentucky Officer is Struck and Killed

    Last week, Lexington police officer Bryan Durman told his wife Brandy that he was concerned because motorists weren't exercising caution when driving near officers conducting police work on the roadside. Durman, 27, was killed by a motorist Thursday while responding to a call on North Limestone. "I think it was a premonition," his mother Margaret Durman said in an interview Friday.

  • Utah Deputy Dies in Fall From I-70 Bridge

    Just a day after celebrating his 36th birthday, Aguilar was tragically killed Thursday while helping a woman who had crashed on icy Interstate 70. As he waited by the driver's door, another vehicle went out of control, careening toward the officer. Aguliar fell nearly 250 feet off Fish Creek Bridge about 11 p.m. Authorities did know whether he was struck by the vehicle or was trying to get out of the way.
