  • New Zealand Officer Struck and Killed by Stolen Car

    A Porirua policeman has died after being struck by a stolen car linked to an aggravated robbery in Tawa. The Honda Prelude was being pursued in Titahi Bay about 3am on Friday after it had been carjacked in Tawa.

  • Prince George's, Maryland Police Officer Killed by Suspected Thieves

    A Prince George's County police officer was killed on Friday June 27, 2008 when he was struck by a vehicle driven by suspected car thieves in Laurel, and a massive search was underway at an apartment complex several blocks away. Authorties identified the slain officer as 39-year-old Richard Findley, a 10-year veteran of the force and a longtime vounteer firefighter in Beltsville.

  • N.C. Firefighter and Deputy Struck and Killed

    The Onslow County Sheriff's Department has identified the deputy and firefighter killed after they were struck by a tractor-trailer on U.S. 17 this morning. Gene Thomas with the Verona Fire Department and Deputy Steve Boehm with the Onslow County Sheriff's Department died after a northbound truck struck them as the two men responded to a traffic accident.

  • LOUISIANA FIREFIGHTER STRUCK, KILLED AT CRASH SCENE

    Volunteer Firefighter Riley Terrebonne died on April 21 from injuries he sustained while assisting at the scene of a crash the previous night, according to Springfield Fire Rescue Chief Brian Drury. The 29-year-old firefighter, who was set to turn 30 this Saturday, was headed home after picking his dad up from work when he approached the crash in nearby Tangipahoa Parish.
