• Illinois State Troopers Step up Scott's Law Enforcement

    Illinois State Police District 6 safety education officer Joe Dittmer describes a Feb. 5, 2010, accident that sent a State Trooper to the hospital with injuries after the cruiser was totaled by an out-of-control vehicle along Interstate 55. Dittmer said the Illinois State Police wants motorists to obey Scott's Law, which requires drivers to slow down and move over when passing stationary emergency vehicles.
