Ellenville, NY Judge Presses for Expanded ‘Move Over Law'
A new law, which is waiting for Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s signature, could help prevent such tragedies from happening again. Ellenville Village Justice Matthew Parker said he has worked for the nearly eight years since his son died to get such a law adopted in New York state. He said the “Move Over Bill” for the law has always passed the state Senate, but each year got hung up in a committee in the state Assembly.
