A traffic law that has been on the books in Florida for 10 years still doesn't seem to be getting through to drivers. The "Move Over" law is in place to protect the people that keep us safe, but law enforcement officials and other first responders are in danger every time they step onto the road.

Thumb Down: Florida Highway Patrol has a Message: Move Over or Else
Apparently an awful lot of people haven't gotten the message. Under Florida law, motorists are required to move over one lane or slow to 20 mph below the posted speed limit when approaching emergency vehicles or tow trucks with flashing lights parked along the side of the road. The law was adopted to reduce the number of injuries and deaths caused by vehicles hitting troopers and other emergency personnel.
