State patrol reminder: Obey Minnesota's move over law
The Minnesota State Patrol is reminding drivers to watch out for vehicles pulled over on the side of the road.
Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow says law enforcement and other emergency personnel, tow trucks and snow plow operators find themselves parked along road shoulders many times when they're doing their jobs, so drivers need to follow the state's "move over" law.
Grabow says if you can't move over, at least slow down when you see one of their vehicles at the side of the road.
Grabow himself was struck two years ago while helping at the scene of a car crash on an icy road near Sauk Centre.
