Maryland State Police Conduct 'Move-Over' Law Campaign
On Thursday March 22, 2012 in Pikesville, law enforcement officials from the State Police, Baltimore County Police, Maryland Transportation, Howard County Police, Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund and Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company will gather at the Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company on Sudbrook Lane to raise awareness of Maryland's "Move Over" law.
State Police Superintendent Marcus Brown, the executive director of the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund and others will hold a press conference to reiterate the importance of Maryland’s ‘Move Over’ law.
As part of the effort to increase awareness of the law, officials will unveil a new decal, provided by the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund, to be displayed on public safety vehicles. The decal will be a reminder to motorists to move over when these emergency vehicles are working on the side of the road.
