State Trooper Craig Graham, District 17 Safety Education Officer, recently formulated the idea of using a smashed squad car as a educational tool to visualize the "real effects of being distracted while driving." On Dec. 28, while chasing a speeder on Interstate-80 near the Utica exit, Trooper Jarren Riley's vehicle was struck from behind by a careless driver "working with his cell phone."
