Connecticut Asks if Their Move-Over Law Will Work
When parents admonish kids against following "the crowd," the common setup is if all of your friends jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge, would you? When it comes to highway safety, states often look over their shoulder to see what strategies other ones have. The logic is if it works there, it may work for us. Connecticut wants to do more to protect the lives of first responders, cops, firefighters and ambulance crews on the state's highways and byways. That's admirable. These people risk their lives every day. It's tragic for even one to lose his or her life this way.
