MA 'Move Over' Law to be Instituted

A new state law, which goes into effect Sunday, will require motorists driving on multi-lane state highways to slow down when approaching stationary emergency response vehicles exhibiting flashing lights. It also requires motorists, if they can safely do so, to change lanes so that they are not immediately adjacent to emergency vehicles.
