FLORIDA DEPUTIES WRITE TICKETS ENFORCING 'MOVE OVER' LAW

Orange County deputies wrote nearly 130 citations along the SR-417 in just 90 minutes. Deputies were out on their motorcycles near the Seminole County border enforcing the 'move over' law, Monday. The law requires drivers to give officers room on the road when they pull over cars for traffic stops.

Four patrol cars have recently been hit by cars that did not move over.

"The move over law has been around for the past two years and daily we come in contact with violators and it's very dangerous for the officers," explained one deputy.

The fine is $118 for not moving to an outside lane when you are approaching stopped emergency vehicles.
