PREPARE TO BE STOPPED IN NAME OF LAW: TICKETING AGGRESSIVE DRIVERS NEXT WEEK'S GOAL FOR AGENCIES
Local law enforcement hopes next week will be a costly one for aggressive and reckless drivers in Manatee County.
Beginning March 19, 20 officers from every local law enforcement agency and two state agencies will be patrolling Manatee roadways for 10 hours a day, with only one goal: Making traffic stops.
Officers will be looking for red-light running, aggressive driving, drunk drivers, drivers not wearing seat belts.
They will also be looking for Move Over law violators, who do not give emergency and law enforcement officials a lane of space as they work on the side of the road.
