RECORD NUMBER TO TAKE TO ROADS

More than 1.62 million North Carolinians and nearly 796,000 South Carolinians will be on the road this Christmas weekend, a record number for this time of year, according to AAA Carolinas. It is the fourth straight year for an increase, with the total rising by 3.7 percent this holiday over last year.
