National Law Enforcement Roadway Safety Program (NLERSP) Information

This document explains opportunities available from the National Law Enforcement Roadway Safety Program (NLERSP), which provides no-cost training, technical assistance, and resources to local, state, and tribal law enforcement agencies with the goal of reducing the number of officers injured and killed on the nation’s roadways. Please Slow Down - US Police Officers Killed While Working on Road in 2024

This PSA produced by the John Petropoulos Memorial Fund highlights Slow Down Move Over as an effective way to reduce the number of law enforcement officers struck and killed on U.S. roadways every year. In 2024, 24 U.S. law enforcement officers were struck and killed while assisting motorists on the roadway. These 24 officers are honored by name in the PSA.
