A Florida Highway Patrol officer narrowly misses being hit by a crashing car in Interstate-4 Tuesday morning. According to FHP spokesperson Kim Montes, trooper Mike Fielder stopped on the westbound shoulder of I-4 to help fix a flat tire on a trailer being pulled by a truck.

Indiana Officer Struck by Car During Traffic Stop
A Metro Police officer had minor injuries in a crash on the Indianapolis north side Tuesday. The officer, who was working speed patrol in the area of Guilford and Fall Creek Parkway North Drive, was out of his car conducting a traffic stop for a possible citation. Another car rear-ended the vehicle that the officer had pulled over, pushing the car into the officer.

Off-Duty Ohio Officer Leading Funeral Procession Dies After Collision with Hearse
An off-duty NKU police officer leading a funeral procession on a motorcycle was fatally injured Friday after colliding with a hearse. The accident happened at the entrance to the Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Montgomery Road. Authorities say Officer Roy Sims, 51, had just cleared the intersection in front of the cemetery. Sims was along side the hearse, when the hearse turned right and hit him, apparently not seeing him.
