It appears "excessive speed" did not contribute to Thursday's crash, but it remains unclear just how fast the driver, Kirk Deamos, 21, of Raymore, Mo., was traveling, said Lt. Eric Roeske, spokesman for the Minnesota State Patrol. By law, drivers can travel up to 70 mph in the construction zone where the crash happened north of McAndrews
