    Asa Williams, 29, of Atlanta was killed after he was struck by a vehicle on I-75/85 in South Atlanta. Atlanta Police officer, Branden Hart, who was attempting to help Williams was also struck by a vehicle. Officer Hart was taken to Grady Hospital. Hart was released Saturday night according to Atlanta Police. The 27-year-old officer is a three-year veteran of the department.

    Atlanta police said an officer was hit by a car Friday night while trying to help a man who was hit by a car while running from him. The officer suffered head and leg injuries, but is expected to recover. The other man was killed.

    A Maryland State trooper was pinned between two vehicles Wednesday on Ballenger Center Drive. Trooper First Class Sean McCarty was investigating a car crash on Ballenger Center Drive just east of Route 351 at about 4:15 p.m. when a passing vehicle struck him. McCarty was pinned between the vehicle that struck him and his own patrol car.

    An Erie County Holding Center deputy who was struck by a car Wednesday after leaving work at the downtown jail was released Thursday from Erie County Medical Center, authorities said.

  • North Carolina Fire Chief Injured at Crash Scene

    Jeff Folwell, the Fire Chief in Julian, North Carolina, even though he was off duty, stopped at a car crash to help. While on scene, he saw another car sliding out of control towards him and he jumped away from the car and fell off a bridge plummeting 30 feet. As a result of the fall, he broke his pelvis in three places, his elbow, and fractured three ribs.
