  • Ohio Construction Worker Killed on I-90

    A construction worker killed at the Lear Nagel interchange on I-90 has been identified as 63-year-old Peter Maglis, of Campbell. Maglis died Wednesday morning after a two-car collision knocked one of the vehicles into the construction zone where it struck him before smashing into a pick-up truck’s trailer beside where Maglis was standing.

  • Arizona: Ailing Driver Sideswipes Firetruck

    A driver suffering from possible diabetic shock sideswiped a fire truck inside the Deck Park Tunnel in Phoenix Tuesday night, authorities said.

  • Car Crashes into Fire Truck West of Springfield, Missouri

  • New Jersey: Camden Firefighter Struck by car

    A firefighter was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car in New Jersey early Thursday morning. The incident happened at about 7:30 a.m. in front of the Camden Fire Department Squad Company 7 in the 1100 block of Kaighns Avenue. According to investigators, an unidentified firefighter was struck by a car in front of the building. The firefighter was taken to Cooper University Hospital in an unknown condition. SkyFOX was over an accident in Camden where a firefighter was hit by a vehicle. The scene was on the 1100 block of Kaighns Avenue. There's no word on his condition.   • North Carolina Trooper Still Critical After Being Struck by Car

    At the request of injured Highway Patrol Trooper Matt Mitchell’s family, Mission Hospital no longer will be providing updates on his medical condition. The family issued a statement Wednesday noting, “The family of Trooper Mitchell thanks everyone for their continued prayers and support. We ask that our privacy be respected during this time".   • Texas Firefighter Hit by SUV in Front of Fire Station

    A firefighter was hit by an SUV outside a North Side fire station. The accident happened just before 8:00 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of West Russell Place. News 4 WOAI was told fire crews were backing a fire truck into a stall at the station, when an SUV hit one of firefighters who was helping direct the driver of the truck.   • Virginia State Trooper Hit by Suspected Drunk Driver

    Police say Billinda Colonna slammed into Sgt. Vernon Smith earlier this morning. Smith was guarding the Gilmerton Bridge construction project. Investigators say Colonna was driving drunk. They say she had a blood alcohol level of .08. Her blood was taken, and they’re waiting to see if there was anything else in her system.   • Greenbelt, Md. Fire Engines Struck For Second Time In a Week In Prince George's County; Fire Officials Say 'Barrier Protection' Saved Lives

    Prince George's County Fire officials say for the second time in a week a vehicle has struck a Greenbelt fire engine. Last Saturday, two firefighters were injured after a vehicle failed to give the right-of-way to a fire engine on the Beltway. A week later, another vehicle ran into a fire engine, which was then struck by another vehicle. Two drivers are charged.
