    Anne Arundel County Police say a Glen Burnie man faces drunk driving and drug charges after he nearly crashed his pickup truck into a police car early Saturday.

  • New York: Metropolitan Transportation Authority Officer Struck by Car at Verrazano Bridge

    An MTA Bridges and Tunnels officer was critically injured when he was struck by a vehicle Sunday morning at the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge.   • Florida: Officer Hit by Car; Search Underway for Suspects

    According to police, officers observed one of the suspects hand-rolling a marijuana cigar inside a car at The Barn, located at 1200 South French Avenue, two weeks ago. Officers said they also saw two guns inside the vehicle.   • Maryland: Condition Improving for Trooper Hit During Traffic Stop

    While she’s not out of the woods yet, the condition of the Maryland State Police trooper hit by a car during a traffic stop earlier this month is improving. Trooper Jacqueline Kline has been upgraded to serious condition after more than a week in critical condition.     A Bexar County Sheriff's deputy was transported to a hospital following an accident Thursday morning, spokesperson Paul Berry confirmed. A Transguide camera captured the accident scene in the eastbound lanes of I-10 at De Zavala Road around 10:20 a.m.

  • Maryland: Police say Driver Shot by Police was 'Determined to Flee'

    Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts said that a man fatally shot by an officer during a traffic stop Wednesday night was "determined not to cooperate" and tried to flee because he had crack cocaine in the vehicle.

  • Ohio: Auxiliary Police Officer Struck While Directing Traffic

    A Maple Heights auxiliary police officer was hit by a vehicle while he was directing traffic Wednesday morning. It happened on Lee Road north of Broadway Avenue at around 7:43 a.m.

  • Ohio: Witnesses Rush to Help Officer Hit by Car

    An auxiliary police officer was hit by a car while he was directing traffic Wednesday morning on Lee Road outside of Maple Heights High School. Police have not released the name of the officer, who was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. Maple Heights Police Lieutenant James Kracker said his injuries are not life-threatening.
