Hempfield Township - Five people were injured on Monday evening after a car struck a deer. A Youngwood firefighter, who stopped to help after the first crash, was struck and injured. As the firefighter was assessing the first crash, another car lost control as he swerved to miss the deer lying on the road and struck three of the four people who were standing along the four-lane road.

Washington: Third State Patrol Car Hit Within a Week
For the third time within a week, a Washington State Patrol (WSP) car has been involved in a collision, while parked on the shoulder of the freeway. In each case, the trooper was seated in his patrol car, when the collision occured. A Muscogee County deputy marshal has apparently been disciplined over an incident Monday in which she struck a Columbus police officer with her squad car, according to police reports and city officials.

Mississippi: Driver "Under the Influence" Hits MHP Vehicle
The Mississippi Highway Patrol confirms a trooper's cruiser was struck by a maroon Nissan Sentra in Ridgeland Thursday night. Authorities say 29 year old John Kirk was driving down the middle of Rice Road when he struck the unidentified trooper leaving a shopping center.

Australia: Police Officer Hit by Van at RBT Operation at Brighton, Brisbane
A police officer who was hit by a van and went flying through the air during a Random Breath Testing operation at Brighton escaped with barely a scratch. Just before midnight Thursday, a white van ploughed into a marked police car on an RBT rank at Deagon Deviation just south of the Hornibrook Bridge and sent one constable flying.

Maryland: School Resource Officer Struck by Car
Deputy 1st Class Harold Jones was directing traffic on the campus of Oakdale High School, where a car failed to stop, striking Jones. Jones was taken to Meritus Hospital in Hagerstown, from which he was treated and released.

Massachusetts: Two Cape Firemen Hurt in Dive Team Training Accident in Brewster
Two Cape firefighters were injured during a training exercise at Sheep Pond in Brewster on Wednesday when they were struck by a vehicle. The Barnstable County Dive Team was training when a vehicle used by the team hit a 45-year old male from the Brewster Fire Department and a 45-year old man from the Dennis Fire Department.
