  • Maryland: Baltimore County Police Shoot Suspect After Struggle in Windsor Mill

    About 6 a.m. December 15, 2013, Baltimore County Police received a report of a woman screaming in the 3700 block of Old Milford Mill Road in Windsor Mill. Police said a man was attempting to attack the woman who was walking nearby. Armed with a knife, the man refused to comply with the officers' commands to put down the weapon, police said. Police officers used Tasers, pepper spray and ASP batons in an attempt to subdue the man and take him into custody. The suspect then eluded officers and he jumped into a vehicle and attempted to strike them with it.

  • Indiana: Trooper Escapes Serious Injury in Semi Accident

    An Indiana State Police officer escaped serious injury after his car was struck by a semi Saturday afternoon.

  • Alabama: Phenix City Police Officer Struck by Car While Directing Traffic

  • Maryland: Suspected Drunk Driver Hits Police Cruiser

    A Prince George's County police officer was struck by a person who may have been driving under the influence. The officer was not seriously injured when his cruiser was struck in the intersection of Route 1 and Contee Road early Friday morning.

  • Michigan: Detroit Cop Struck by Vehicle While Investigating Fatal Crash Scene

    A police officer investigating a fatal traffic crash Thursday afternoon became a victim himself when he was struck by a car near Eastern Market, police said.

  • New York: Broome County Sheriff Deputy's Vehicle Hit in Crash

    A car was parked on the side of the road and it was hit by a vehicle. West Corners Fire Department and the Broome County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident. While they were there, a West Corners fire department pick-up truck was hit by another car. The car then hit the rear bumper of Deputy Balmer's patrol car.

  • Pennsylvania: Woman Charged With Running Over Loganville Fire Police Chief's Foot

    On Sunday afternoon, as PennDOT worked to clear snow-covered roads, fire police from the Loganville Fire Company responded to the Susquehanna Trail, near Beck Road, to stop traffic while PennDOT went to work. Shannon Blevins, fire police chief, was driving south in the roadway's northbound lane, his red lights flashing, heading up the road to see whether the road was clear of cars so PennDOT could begin plowing, according to court documents filed at District Judge Jeff Joy's office. While he drove, a maroon Subaru Outback pulled out from a line of cars by the side of the road and followed him. He stopped and went to inform the driver of the Subaru that the road was closed, court documents state. And that led to a series of events that resulted in Blevins getting his foot run over and the driver of the car, Faye Ann Hammers, 61, of the first block of Pleasant Avenue in Jacobus, being charged with aggravated assault and other charges by state police.

    One of the dozens of crashes on icy roads around the Ozarks this morning, was the crash of a fire truck and deputy's patrol car.

  • Pennsylvania: Driver Just Misses Hitting Latrobe Officer

    Officer Joseph Angus said in an affidavit of probable cause that police attempted to arrest Bickle in the home's backyard, but Bickle ignored commands and got into a car parked along the street. A Latrobe officer attempted to block Bickle's car and “was standing outside the open driver's door to his vehicle as Bickle began to accelerate towards him,” Angus wrote in the complaint

  • Wisconsin: Sheriff's Deputy's Squad Hit by Another Vehicle

    Dashboard camera documents a Winnebago County Sheriff's Office deputy's squad car getting hit by another vehicle while the deputy was investigating an accident on U.S. Highway 41 on Tuesday.
