Canada: Vehicle Strikes Toronto Police Officer, Drives Off
A vehicle struck a police officer while fleeing from the Entertainment District in downtown Toronto Friday night, spurring a search by OPP and Halton officers. Toronto police were patrolling on Richmond St. W. just west of John St. when their attention was drawn to the 2008 black Mercedes on alcohol-related concerns, according to division staff. Police say the vehicle fled, striking an officer with its side mirror as it drove off. The officer was not injured.

Michigan: Medic Unit Struck on Interstate
On January 1, 2015 @04:11 City of Romulus Rescue #4 was struck on the right rear corner by a 4 door sedan traveling at a high rate of speed. Occupant of the vehicle is suspected to be under the influence. The vehicles were on I-94 an interstate highway waiting for a tow company to roll a vehicle from a previous accident. An Ohio State Trooper is in the hospital after being hit by a car on I-475 in an early morning accident.It happened near US 24 just before 6 a.m. Three vehicles were involved in what the Ohio State Highway Patrol is calling a 'serious injury crash.'

Rhode Island: Police Officer Struck by Car in Officer-Involved Shooting
Cranston Police crews were dispatched on Saturday afternoon January 3 to a Cranston Street restaurant after multiple calls came in for shots fired shortly before 4:00 p.m. In a press release sent to NBC 10, Cranston Police Col. Michael Winquist says that the officer who was involved noticed suspicious activity outside the Hong Kong Buffet Restaurant on Cranston Street. Once the officer approached the suspect's vehicle, the officer noticed the driver holding a bag in her hand which was believed to be cocaine. Once police attempted to arrest the suspect, the driver put her vehicle in reverse which trapped the officer in a door frame before striking the police cruiser. Fearing for his safety, the officer opened fire and several rounds were shot which did not hurt the suspect. The suspect fled in her vehicle which was found a short time after behind a Randall Street residence.

South Carolina: Trooper in Patrol Car Hit by Suspected Drunk Driver
Early Saturday morning a trooper with the South Carolina Highway Patrol was hit head on in his patrol car by a suspected drunk driver, according to Jeff Benton with the Horry County Sheriff's Office.

Indiana: Elkhart County Officer Struck By Drunk Driver
An officer with the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department was able to avoid injury, despite being struck by a drunk driver while in his patrol car early Thursday morning.

Ohio: Ice Causes Accidents
In Maumee in suburban Toledo, a driver on Interstate 475 struck a trooper who was out of his patrol car investigating a crash just before 6 a.m., the patrol said. The trooper was in the hospital in stable condition Saturday.

Connecticut: Officer Hit by Drunk Driver While Helping at Another Crash
A Stamford police officer who was helping at a crash scene early New Year’s Eve morning was hit by a drunk driver, police said. Around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, police said a 14-year-old drove his parents’ car without their permission and crashed into a phone pole and snapped it in half. Officer Richard Phelan responded to help block off the road after the teen crashed. Nearly two hours later, as Phelan had the street blocked off with cones and his police car, another vehicle barreled into the officer.

Pennsylvania: Man Tries to Run Down Police and They Shoot Him
A man who had posted an online video threatening to kill police and FBI agents tried to use his car to run down officers seeking to arrest him on Tuesday so, fearing for their lives, they shot and killed him, authorities said. Police did not immediately identify the man, who was killed in Upper Darby, in suburban Philadelphia, as officers ordered him out of the car and he appeared ready to accelerate at them as they manned a blockade.
