    A firefighter was injured in Cambridge when he was crushed by a fire engine at the scene of a suspected arson attack. The man in his 30s was caught between the reversing rescue vehicle and a stationary van in Stanley Road, Abbey, yesterday evening.

  • Virginia: Rockbridge Co. Deputy's Patrol Car Hit by Tractor Trailer During Traffic Stop

    An accident in Rockbridge County left traffic backed up for hours. According to a press release, a Rockbridge County deputy was conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 81 near mile marker 204, a tractor trailer came through and hit his patrol car. Investigators say the deputy was inside the car at the time.

  • California: LA DOT Officer Struck by Car

    A Los Angeles Department of Transportation officer was struck by a car near downtown Los Angeles Wednesday afternoon. The female officer was hit at Grand and Cesar Chavez avenues at about 4 p.m. while directing traffic.

  • Kentucky: Firefighter Hit by Car While Responding to a House Fire

    The Warren County Sheriff's Department says the firefighter who was hit is Seth Miciotto, 24, of Alvaton Police say a SUV attempted to pass through the fire trucks as they were working to establish a water re-supply and hit Miciotto. The driver did not stop and left the scene.

    On March 8, a Rockbridge County Deputy Sheriff was conducting a traffic stop at the north bound 204 mile marker of Interstate 81 when a tractor trailer struck his vehicle. The deputy was inside of his vehicle when the collision occurred.

  • Indiana: Ambulance struck in Putnam County

    An ambulance in Putnam County on the scene of a call to a residence was hit. According to Indiana State Police, the medical emergency vehicle was struck late Sunday evening by 27-year-old Benjamin Weaver. Police say Weaver’s car hit the ambulance while it was parked out in front of a residence. No injuries were reported as the medical staff was inside the house at the time. Weaver was also found to be wearing his seat belt.

  • Indiana: Funeral escort Officer Struck

    According to IMPD, a private security officer helping with a funeral procession was hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon. Officials say the escorting officer suffered a broken shoulder in the accident, in which he was hit by a car while on his motorcycle. The accident happened just before noon at the intersection of Spring Mill Road and Kessler Boulevard. Police have not said what may have caused the accident.

  • Mississippi: Hinds County Deputy Vehicle Hit by Car

    A Hinds County deputy was involved in a traffic accident on Highway 80 Friday night. According to Hinds County Sheriff's spokesman Othor Cain, around 5:30 pm, a deputy was traveling south on School Circle near Highway 80 West attempting to make a traffic stop. In the process of making the stop, the Dodge charger he was driving was hit by a white Honda accord.
