South Carolina: Pregnant Woman Who Tried to Run Down Officer Shot, Killed
A pregnant woman was shot and killed by an officer following a traffic stop, according to the police chief. The shooting happened on Jamies Creek Drive in Woodruff at 1:40 p.m. Thursday. According to an incident report released by Woodruff Police Chief Darrell Dawkins, after an officer made a traffic stop, a man who was in the car ran away and the officer chased him. Dawkins said while the officer was chasing the man, the woman who was driving the car tried run down the officer and the officer "reacted."

Spartanburg, SC Officer Almost Hit, Suspect Slams Into Porch
A Spartanburg Public Safety officer was nearly struck by a vehicle while conducting a traffic stop. The agency said an officer stopped a vehicle on North Church Street in the parking lot of the Sun Shine Inn around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday. The officer recognized the driver of the vehicle from a wanted photograph that he had just viewed moments earlier. Florida Fire Captain Struck by Passing Vehicle
A Baker Fire Department captain was injured at the scene of traffic crash at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. Capt. Timothy Busby, 52, of Crestview, was at the wreck on State Road 85 about a quarter-mile south of 77th Special Forces Way, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Busby was standing on the left side of an ambulance trying to take the backboard out of it. The ambulance was parked in the inside turn lane facing south.
